With title in red and black and wide figurative woodcut title border. Restored contempory vellum. Browned and slightly stained due to paper. First ll. slightly more stained and with missing parts in the white margin. Somewhat waterstained in places and wormy on the inner gutter with slight loss of letters. A Benedictine, he was a translator, encyclopaedist, and the author of several works, including the Ovidius Moralizatus (not to be confused with the Ovide Moralisé) (1340), a work of mythography. The Gesta Romanorum, a Latin collection of anecdotes and tales, is sometimes attributed to him.
