Numbered #2.Biography engraver: Philippus van der Schley (1724-1817) was a Dutch draughtsman and engraver from Amsterdam. He was a pupil of his brother Jakob van der Schley. He became a design master and dealer of paintings.Biography artist: Jan de Beijer (1703 1780), also given as Jan de Beyer, was a Dutch draughtsman and painter known for this drawings of towns and buildings in the present-day countries of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In total, he produced some 1500 drawings, over 600 of which were reproduced as engravings by other artists. Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, soilng and creasing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. J. de Beyer (illustrator).
