The son of Irish immigrants, raised in San Francisco's South Market, Kyne eventually became a sports promoter and manager of racetracks. He built Bay Meadows and introduced many innovations. Includes photo 8 x 10 of Willie Shoemaker and John Longdon, the centuries top jockeys, signed (maybe printed) by both. (we had horses running there and both these guys rode our horses, so may be original signature). Unfortunately, Bay Meadows has "bit the dust" and will soon be condominiums.
