Cloth. Condition: Poor. Cloth hardcover has many stains and peeling "USED" sticker at middle of spine, dog-earing of corners and tears at corners/spine. Coffee stains on end paper, half-title page, title page, and occasionally on other pages. Pencil and blue pen notes throughout first 50 pages at least as well as page 87 (pages look clean otherwise but the examiner may have missed some notes someplace else). Binding is separating from spine but is held to cover by end paper at present. We are a Benedictine Abbey and Seminary library in Oregon. We appreciate your support.

Dopo la disfatta di Caporetto l'Esercito Italiano trovò la determinazione per riprendere in mano le sorti della guerra. Fu proprio in quel periodo che venne istituito il reparto fotografico. Il tenente Marzocchi ne fu uno dei più brillanti e attivi rappresentanti, fermando sulla pellicola tantissimi scatti fino ai momenti finali che portarono alla fine del conflitto. Il libro ripercorre per immagini la cronologia degli eventi bellici: dalle premesse delle battaglie combattute sul Carso e l'Isonzo, fino al Piave. Quelle istantanee suggestive vennero donate al Museo della Battaglia di Vittorio Veneto e una parte sono state esposte in occasione del 90° della grande guerra a Susegana e Parigi. Quelle immagini sono ora riproposte con il commento critico di Vittorino Pianca, e nell'ingrandimento di quei volti, tutti uguali, pur su fronti contrapposti, si legge tutta la stupidità della guerra.
