Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First edition, in tan cloth, 1885 on copyright and title page with 6 pages of ads in the rear. A good copy with spine wear and some page edge wear. A book plate from the Harvard Club Library on the inside front cover. A number stamp on the preface page but no other evidence of its time at Harvard Library. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. 1st Edition. First U. S. Edition with matching dates 1885. Clean and tightly bound in pale blue cloth with pictorial cover illustration. Slight shelf wear to the edges and minor spine slant. The front endpaper shows scuffing and a 1/2" X 1/8" hole. The title page has a small corner creased. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. The Mercantile Library stamp and number are on the title page and some of the internal pages and there are two very tiny pencil marks. Still, an attractive copy. Insured domestic Priority Mail and international shipping may require added postage charges.
