Je regrette que vous n'ayez qu'un seul tableau de mon père 'Le port de Dieppe 1902'. Si vous avez acheté ce tableau directement à mon père, il est probable qu'il n'en existe pas de photographie. Serait-il possible, dans ce cas, de le faire photographier à Berlin, pour le reproduire dans mon catalogue, si cela ne vous dérage pas trop, je payerai volontiers les frais du photographe. Je serais très heureux que le nom de Mr. Julie Elias, qui fût un grand ami de mon père, soit au moins mentionné dans mon catalogue. Je n'ai pas encore pû t[r]ouver trace de quelques tableaux que j'avais vendus jadis à Mr. Elias, comme par exemple 'La Cathédrale de Dieppe' et 'Le Jardin des Tuileries effet deneige' etc. J'ai écrit à Mr. Hugo Simon mais je n'ai pas encore eu de réponse, ce serait dommage que son tableau ne soit pas représenté, ce catalogue sera naturellement très important et aussi complet que possible, les amateurs auront donc tout intérêt à ce que leurs tableaux soient reproduits []". - With some tears.

Signed by Pissarro's son Rodolphe (1871-1952) The subscription form is headed Publication des Eaux-Fortes de Camille Pissarro, (1re Série). Octobre, 1907. One of 200 copies on Verge paper (total edition 225, including 25 not for sale). *Published in conjunction with the art journal Ariste. Ludovic Rodolphe Pissarro (1878-1952) was a son of Camille Pissarro. Familiarly known as 'Rodo', he often signed his works 'Ludovic Rodo.' In 1905, he participated in the first Fauve exhibition at the Salon des Ind'e9pendents. When war broke out, he moved to London, where he worked closely with his brother Lucien. He is perhaps best remembered for compiling the definitive catalogue of his father's paintings, published in two volumes in 1939 . Ker-Frank-Houx was a pseudonym of the writer and printer Francois Donker (1885-1922), who also wrote as Frank Julius.
