Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. Maskew Miller, Limited. Cape Town. no date on title page. Preface dated 1945. Hardcover, 201 pages. Bound in gray cloth with brown lettering. Brown lettering on the spine as well. Color frontispiece. brown and white plates throughout. Recorded and retold…by I. D. Du Plessis. English Version by Bernard and Elize D. Lewis. Book design and decorations by Nerine Desmond. Signed by du Plessis on the blank page opposite the half title. Dated Dec 14, 1945. Cape Town. Inscribed with 'every good wish' to Mr and Mrs Earle Russell. There is also a small card tucked inside the book on which is written, "with the compliments of the author". The card isn't shown in a photograph, because I didn't find it until I was writing this description so it's a bonus. Card is not quite 2" x 4", with only the writing on it. There is spotting on the covers, but otherwise the book is in quite good shape. Pieces of the DJ remain, but not of the front cover part. Just the flaps and the back cover. A scarce title, especially with the author's inscription. Signed by Author(s).
