Law became an early 20th century missionary to China, and it is clear that this book was instrumental in formi ng her initial opinions concerning China ; it is very interesing to observe by her commentary and underlining what she felt was important to her forthcoming work as a missionary, often revealing how the young missionary laid the groundwork for many things she undoubtedly would have to unlearn upon her arrival in China ; this book almost certainly accompanied her to China ; FAIR. Six leaves of student manuscript notes laid in. OCLC locates just 2 copies in the US: Minnesota and Univ. of Puget Sound; plus one in Taiwan and another in Germany.
