Wussten Sie schon, dass die Haut unser größtes Organ ist und bei einigen Menschen eine Fläche von etwa zwei Quadratmetern bedeckt dass eine etwa 10 µm dicke Hornschicht den Körper vor der… Aufnahme von Fremdstoffen schützt dass sich die Hornschicht in etwa zwei Wochen erneuert und Sie täglich rund 2 g Keratin als Staub verlieren dass die Haut beim Baden Schutzstoffe verliert, die erst innerhalb einer Woche wieder ergänzt werden dass die Hornschicht etwa einen Mikroliter Flüssigkeit pro Quadratzentimeter aufnehmen kann und die darin gelösten Stoffe im Laufe von ungefähr 14 Tagen in den Körper eindringen können dass Schadstoffe aus der Hornschicht nur vollständig zu entfernen sind, wenn man die Hornschicht mit Klebefolien abreißt, aber Schadstoffe durch Waschprozesse beschleunigt in den Körper eindringen dass Medikamente, die man durch die Haut aufnehmen kann, direkt über die Blutbahn in verschiedene Organe gelangen, ohne sofort die Leber zu belasten oder dort verändert zu werden dass sich mit Gleichstrom viele Medikamente in hohem Maße durch die schützende Hornschicht in den Körper einbringen lassen Die Pharmaindustrie findet Beispiele für die Messung perkutan aufgenommener Wirkstoffe. Der Strahlenschutz erhält Angaben zur Strahlenbelastung des Menschen durch Radionuklide und eine praktische Anleitung zur Personendekontamination. Die Hygiene wird über Hautschäden durch übertriebene Reinigungsprozeduren aufmerksam gemacht. Die folgende Fragenliste kennzeichnet die behandelten Hauptziele der vorgestellten Untersuchungen. a) Wieviel durchdringt die Haut und gelangt in den Blutkreislauf (Resorption) b) Wie sieht der zeitliche Verlauf der Resorption aus c) Wieviel verbleibt in der Haut (Depot) d) In welcher Tiefenverteilung und Beziehung zu bestimmten Hautstrukturen erfolgt die Ablagerung e) Wie lange bleibt ein Depot bestehen f) Welche Möglichkeiten gibt es für die Personendekontamination und Berechnung der Strahlendosis für den Strahlenschutz nach einer Kontamination der Haut mit radioaktiven Stoffen Für die Zwecke des praktischen Strahlenschutzes wurden Listen für radioaktive Substanzen aufgestellt, aus denen der Gefährlichkeitsgrad durch Kennzahlen und Gefahrenklassen zu entnehmen ist. Für Gase, Flüssigkeiten, Lösungen und Pharmaka wurden Resorptionszahlen und Depositionszahlen experimentell bestimmt.
