Beautiful grape image end papers. Illustra…tions by Sangorski and Sutcliffe are stunningly magnificent. They appear to have gold foil on many of them, but they are printed color lithographs; no foil. Not sure how they achieved that effect. Unpaginated. This is not the edition that was numbered and signed by the illustrators, but it is still a highly sought after and collectible version. Top of pages are gilt. One tiny (2-3 cm) split at the spine. Also there is a gift inscription in ink dated 1929 on the first blank page. BEAUTIFUL! (BR) Shelf 69.
