The book was produced in celebration of The Shakespeare Theatre's Production of "Five by Ten", five one-act plays by Tennessee Williams directed by Michael Kahn and Tennessee Williams Explored at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. in 2002. Folio, unpaginated, text double column, with 3 full page illustrations by artist Smith bound in (one of Maggie the cat). Lad-in beneath olive suede panel in the box are another 3 full page illustrations, loose, relating to Glass Menagerie. Dark brown leather case has corner devices, elaborate inner dentelles and interior olive suede lining. A sumptuous production. SIGNED BY BOOK DESIGNER.

The second edition of Volume I, published in the same year as the first edition, and the first edition of Volume II, of this two-volume work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Ink inscription to the front free end paper of Volume II, dated 1935. Sir Walter Alexander Raleigh (1861-1922) was an English scholar, poet, and author, probaly best known for the poem 'Wishes of an Elderly Man, Wished at a Garden Party, June 1914'. This is a two-volume collection of his letters from 1879 to 1922, which piece together interesting insights into his life and work. This collection was edited by Lady Raleigh, with a preface by David Nichol Smith. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart and bright, with just a little bumping to the upper extremity of the front board of Volume II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, except for the odd spot to the first and last few pages of Volume I, and offsetting to the end papers of Volume II. Very Good Indeed. book.
