Bound by Smith Settle in full goatskin leather over bevelled boards, blocked with calligraphy by John Andrew with handmaid laid-paper endleaves from the Fabriano Mill. Complete with a 41-page commentary by Andrew Presott. All contained in a Solander Box and in Fine Condition. St Aethelwold was Bishop of Winchester from 963 to 984; his book of ceremonial blessings is one of the most lavishly decorated manuscipts to have survived from Anglo-Saxon England.

St Æthelwold served as Bishop of Winchester between 963 and 984. His Benedictional is regarded as one of the most richly ornamented manuscripts to survive from Anglo-Saxon England.
