First edition of this lavishly illustrated souvenir pr…ogram for the 1919 Tournament of Roses parade, events, celebrating the end of World War I. Sadly, this was probably the precipitating events which triggered the massive outbreaks of the 1918-1919 flu pandemic through Los Angeles, Pasadena, and surrounding cities, resulting in forcing school closures, bans on public gatherings, and 1000's of cases and deaths. In addition, there is also featured a land promotion section for the latter half of the brochure, touting the notable citizens, businesses, hotels, and stylish homes & gardens in Pasadena and Southern California.
