Ivan Georgievich Drozdov 1880-1939, was an influential Russian painter and graphic artist, whose training spanned from icon painting in Moscow to advanced studies under the guidance of notable artists like Vladimir Makovsky and Ilya Repin at the Higher Art School in St. Petersburg. Awarded the artist title in 1910, Drozdov?s works encapsulate a range from portraits to revolutionary themes. An active exhibitor and leader within several artist groups, his achievements included participation in international showcases, including the World's Fair in New York in 1939.
