Die Länder-Hitliste führt - wen wundert s? - Grossbritannien an, Deutschland (Platz 2) ist aufgrund des "Heimvorteils" vielleicht etwas übergewichtet, doch vom Pro-Kopf-Anteil ist Finnland unübertroffen - und auch das katholische Spanien steht mit teils religiös begründeten Seltsamkeiten nicht schlecht da. Im Vordergrund stehen hier diverse Renn- (u.a. Bobby Car) und Wurf- (u.a. Sahnetorten, Eier, Gummistiefel, Tomaten, Handys, Orangen)Wettbewerbe, mindestens ebenso krass sind aber z.B. die finnische Saunasitzen-WM (wer denkt da nicht an "Populärmusik aus Vittula von Mikael Niemi?), die Weltmeisterschaft im Brennnessel-Essen, die griechische Raketenschlacht oder - unser Favorit - der dänische Selbstbefriedigungswettbewerb. Bei letzterem kommt wenigstens niemand zu schaden - ärgerlich dagegen ist, das der Stierlauf von Pamplona hier auch verharmlosend als so eine Art Kuriosum aufgenommen wurde.
