There is wear and tear at the head and tail of the spine and at edges and outer corners. The first page has a name at the top of the page that is quite faded and it also has a 1 and 1/2 inch tear A 384 p…age over sized work with mostly black & white illustration, some in color. The last ten or so pages have a tear at the top that becomes progressively smaller as you get to the fold out map between pages 374 and 375 where the tear is about an inch, no tear beyond this point. Printed on high quality paper that has lasted well over a century so far. This book is a panorama of the Canal Zone, with the complete story of the Building and operation of the Great Canal under the supervision of Colonel George Washington Goethals. Souvenir Edition.
