Prominent surnames include: Goodrich, Little, Allen, Childs, Campbell, Van Schaack, Wendell, Colt, Root, Pomeroy, Clapp, Hulbert, Bacon, Brown, Jarvis, McKay, Strong, Hubbard, Newton, Willis, Brewster and Russell.
