Sin sobrecubiertas. 308pp,SOBRE EL AUTOR:: Luis María Ramírez de las Casas Deza, nació en Córdoba el 26 de junio de 1802, y falleció en su misma ciudad natal, el 5 de mayo de 1874. Licenciado en Medicina, apenas ejerció la profesión médica, dedicando sus esfuerzos a la in…vestigación histórica, que era su verdadera vocación, en virtud de la cual consiguió llegar a ser Catedrático de Geografía e Historia del Instituto Provincial de Segunda Enseñanza de la ciudad de Córdoba. Fue el historiador más relevante de la ciudad de Córdoba en el Siglo XIX. Sus estudios y publicaciones le valieron la amistad de muchos intelectuales españoles y extranjeros y propició la acogida en varias academias y sociedades literarias, como lo fueron la Academia médico-quirúrgica de Cádiz, las de Sevilla y Barcelona, el Instituto de Ciencias Médicas de Murcia, las Academias de Buenas Letras de Barcelona y Sevilla, la Academia General de Ciencias, Bellas Letras y Nobles Artes de Córdoba desde su creación, y en la que fue censor y secretario. Perteneció también á la Academia Española de Arqueología, y en la clase de correspondiente á la Real Academia de la Historia de Madrid; asimismo fue Arcade de Roma desde 1837.Luis María Ramírez de las Casas Deza, médico, catedrático e historiador erudito. Nació en Córdoba en 1802 y murió en Córdoba en 1874 a los 71 años de edad. Fue uno de los historiadores más relevantes de la ciudad de Córdoba en el Siglo XIX. Formación Fue en su adolescencia alumno aventajado del excelente humanista José Mariano Moreno. Cursó Filosofía en el Seminario Conciliar de San Pelagio. Amplió estudios de Matemáticas y Física Experimental así como la Historia civil y literaria de España. Posteriormente se trasladó a Sevilla y en su Universidad cursó la carrera de Medicina. Además fue alumno de Botánica en el Jardín de la Corte y de Zoología en el Museo de Historia Natural. Médico Se licenció como médico en 1827 y hasta 1840 ejerció en distintas localidades como Bujalance, Villafranca, El Carpio y Pozoblanco, y desde aquí pasó a Fuencaliente, donde fue director del Balneario. Docencia Abandonó tempranamente la profesión de médico y regresó a Córdoba donde ejerció como catedrático de Geografía e Historia del Instituto Provincial de Segunda Enseñanza de la ciudad de Córdoba durante 20 años hasta 1862 en la que se jubiló.
