Manuscript in ink, 8vo (180 x 115mm), two pages. Thanking Enys for his support on behalf of the Institution of Naval Architects, and enrolling him as an Associate. The Institution had been founded in January that year, with Reed as secretary, so Enys was clearly a founding supporter. Reed was one of the most important and widely-respected designers of ships of his age.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. Housing prices in the U.S. are increasing regularly and some would say, alarmingly. This book will give you an idea of how things have changed. Please find: House-Plans for Everybody. For Village and Country Residences Costing from $250 to $8000; including Full Descriptions and Estimates in Detail of Materials Labor and Cost. With Many Practical Suggestions and 175 Illustrations by S. B. Reed, Architect. This small hardcover book (5 ? x 7 ? inches, 243 pages plus 16 pages of Publisher s adverts) was published by the Orange Judd Company of New York, dated 1891. The book is bound in green cloth with black and gilt decorations and titles. Please see the photos of some of the pages of the Table of Contents for your further information. There are 175 Figures each showing a different house-plan or variant of the previous plan. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There has been some bumping and edge wear to the hard covers and a few spots of soiling on the front cover. The spine shows some wrinkling to the cloth and the book is slightly canted to the right. Inside the book is unmarked and the interior pages are clean and bright. The first and last blank pages may be toned or perhaps it is a different kind of paper; in any case, only a few pages are involved. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
