Green fibre board covers with gilt title to front, light wear, some pencil scribbles to front. 62 numbered pages, colour illustrated, 5 cm closed tear from bottom to title pge, end papersbadly scribbled front & back, rest unmarked. Binding loose but nothing detached. Size 14.3 x 10.7 cm.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First edition, second impression. Slight bump to front corners and to top or rear board. Internally front hinge is weak and the main text block has seen better days. The illustrations are in better shape than the pages opposite, though these are largely unmarked. No inscriptions etc. I have tried to be realistic about pricing what is clearly a scarce and collectible children's book and I'm happy to send images on request.

The young man who owned this book has seen fit to write his name on it twice on the front endpaper, but thereafter the text and illustrations are in really nice order. The d / w. is missing an irregular piece of a little over a square inch from the bottom of the rear panel, but the front panel is complete and clean with minor rubbing and two half inch repairs.
