Map to inner boards, split at front rear under crease, finger marks or small blotches to some page-edges. Looks a shambles, but B&W period photographic illustrations are very interesting.

First Series, True Pilgrims. Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Some pages uncut throughout. Pencil inscription to half-title page. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends.

Gilt decorated binding has light edge wear, a few scuff marks; volume II has some age-darkening of the spine strip and wear to the head of the spine strip. 1100 pages covering the years 1499 through 1570.
