Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. vi, 416pp., Pp. 6-14 (Catalogue of Books published and for sale by D. & J. Sadlier & Co.). Translated from the French by Mrs. J. Sadlier. Volume has the approbation of the Most Rev. John Hughes, D.D., Archbishop of New York. Volume bound in 1/4 cloth over paper covered boards. Binding a bit cocked, with heavy wear and soiling and mild staining to exterior. Hinges cracked and medium edge wear to pages. Medium foxing and some internal soiling and staining to many pages, with staining largely confined near tops of pages by gutter. An overall small number of leaves no longer line up squarely at edges, with one gathering seemingly attached, but perhaps sewed in lower than the rest of the gatherings. Tanning to paper. Erasure marks, a few words in ink, and a small hole to front endpapers. Text otherwise largely clean. Despite wear, the volume is still intact and certainly usable. SCARCE.
