Corners have some heavy rubbing and fraying, the boards are exposed. The spine has some rubbing and scuffing. The title on the spine is still visible. The front and back cover have some scuffing and some rubbing. The back cover has a spot a water damage spot. The end pages have a marbled design. The end pages are yellowed. Some of the inside pages have some soiling and water rippling. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

Full-Leather. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Nicely bound in blind stamped leather with gilt titles with all edges gilt, this 813 page book puts to shame the later reprints in quality, appearance, and the patina new books just can't have. There is some wear to the spine extremities and rubbing to the joints, which, in my opinion, add to more than detract from its appeal. This book is the former property of the First National Bank of Fremont.

Square, tight and clean throughout save some mild, scattered foxing to prelims but clean interior with little if any page toning. Light wear to spine ends and tips. Cloth very lightly soiled in spots. Very well-preserved. A very pretty collectable copy of an uncommon item, particularly in such nice condition.
