Green cloth cover with Bright gilt lettering to spine and blind stamped border to front. 584 Pages + list of Subscribers. Slight edge wear at corners and spine ends with a few tiny nicks. Small hole in spine cloth, about 1/4". Pages and facsimilie in very good, clean condition. Very slight age darkening in fore margins. Vol. IX: Bishop Edmund Lacy 1420 - 1455 and the Episcopate of John Catrick 1419. 6 Vols have Frontispiece fold-out facsimilies ( including a foldout Pedigree of the De Grandisson Family.) and 2 have a Frontis illustrated with a B&W Photo. An interesting set giving much information on the families in the Diocese over a span of almost 200 years. Dark Green Cloth with bright gilt lettering and lines to spines and blind stamped linear borders to fronts. Illustrated Bookplates with Armorial Bearings on Endpapers. Differing amounts of wear to the volumes. 8 small closed tears to cloth at spine corners (the longest being 1 3/4" long and the shortest 1/2" long. Some edge wear. Vol I has cracked hinges and vol II has some cracks to the binding between a few pages, repaired with old cellotape. Vol VI has cracked hinges repaired with white hinge tape. All books have a have a previous owners name on endpaper and some also have notes on the Bishops. Vols I & II have an occasional interesting note on text. Frontis of vol II detached but present. Otherwise Pages in nice, clean condition, only a very few spots of foxing. Heavy set ( 10.6 Kilos) so postage Outside UK will be extra.
