Pages good condition frontispiece of a Clydesdale Stallion Grand National , page 84 has a black ink smudge in the margin, plate XVI has a crease to the top corner, pages are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Binding good condition sound.

(Complete). Bound in watering maroon cloth, with maroon leather label with gilt lettering on front cover, maroon coloured endpapers. Binding with some wear at extremities, spine with some minor loss of material, interior fine without staining or foxing but only some offsetting on the serpent leaves. Still a fine copy of a rare and super romantic book. The portrait engraving of the author is made after a painting by G. Hayter.
