Flecks of staining on cloth. A few library marks, bookplates, and stamps inside. Tiny pen marks in the margins. Otherwise, pages foxed, but securely bound. A history of the dioceses of Down, Connor, and Dromore of Ireland, and the taxation upon their clergy during the Middle Ages. Contains a foldout facsimile of a tax document.

Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 8vo, pp. 16, pamphlet with pictorial paper cover (of the church of St. Columba, Swords), a few marks but reasonably fresh, at one stage folded into quarter but now flat, interior with some toning marks but largely clean, some bruising to fore edge, staple rusted and binding is loose. Inserted is a four page 19th century manuscript list of 'Monumental Inscriptions in Finglas Churchyard'. listing 10 inscriptions dating from 1670 to 1835, including some from the chancel of the Old Church (presumably old St Candice's, Finglas). Although the lecture was originally delivered in 1860 (whilst the author was the vicar of Lusk), this publication must post date his death in 1892. Also includes a small pamphlet from the Glasnevin Parish for fund raising towards the enlargement of the parish church (St. Mobhi's), dated 1896. A chancel was added that year and the south aisle in 1908.
