Winrod, an American fundamentalist evangelist, author, and controversial publisher involved in political activism during WWII. While opinions differ as to his character, Gerald Winrod was accused of anti semitic an…d neo-Nazi views. He was indicted by the federal government for sedition in the Great Sedition trial of 1942-1944, which was later dismissed after a sudden heart attack and death of the presiding judge caused a subsequent mistrial.
