A folded printed service sheet (bifolium) comprising three pages and a blank which was produced to mark the consecration of the 'New Church at Highbury' on October 12th 1848 with the Reverend 'M A Collisson, M.A., Incumbent' presiding. The text contains a long prayer or possibly a hymn, with four readings from Chronicles listed at the end. Apart from a little age-toning the condition is about very good. Christ Church Highbury was built on a site given by John Dawes, and designed by the architect Thomas Allom. In its original form it was built as a preaching church with short chancel, transepts and nave. The church supports a thriving congregation to this day.
