Soft cover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition First Printing. Children's religious newsletter, consisting of 102 random issues covering the years 1904-1917. Miss Olive Crozer Richards, from Slatington, PA, was a 1908 alumni of Bucknell University. This newsletter was published monthly (in weekly parts) by the American Baptist Publication Society from its headquarters at 1420 Chestnut St in historic downtown Philadelphia, PA. The magazine featured inspirational poetry, short vignettes about other children behaving virtuously, religious verses & prayers, illustrated throughout with drawings, sketches, & photos. A penciled note to the June 1906 issue (the first in this collection) reads, "First paper for John at Sunday School,'' so it appears these were distributed to children during religious instruction classes. Subscriptions for a single copy were $.25/year, but only $.20 for bulk orders. Condition of most issues is VG+-Near Fine: completely clean & unmarked with little-no edgewear. One issue has some missing chips & soiling, a few have light dampstaining/discoloration to one or more edges. Nicely housed now in a clear archival mylar collector bag. Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, Weekends, & holidays ship very next business day. 0.
