Signed by Vladimir Aleksandrovich Riftin. This 1974 exhibition catalog is a rich compilation of theater decoration sketches by Vladimir Aleksandrovich Riftin, a celebrated theater artist and People's Artist of Uzbekistan. Graduating from the Kharkiv Art Institute in 1928, Riftin dedicated much of his career to theater arts in Uzbekistan from 1941 onwards. He played a pivotal role in the Tashkent Institute of Theater and Fine Arts, where he served as the head of the Department of Theater Decoration Art from 1954 to 1980 and was a professor from 1980. The catalog is a testament to Riftin's artistic versatility and his keen ability to tailor stage decorations to the genre and specific needs of each performance. It features a selection of his works, showcasing the breadth of his talent across various theatrical productions. Signed.
