Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Hardcover bound in red paper over boards with a red gunsight decoration in red foil on the front cover and the spine quarter bound in black textured paper with the title in bright red foil. Corners are sharp; the slightest of shelf wear at the foot of the spine. The dust jacket has no chips or tears with a little rubbing on the back, as typical with quarter bound books, at the point where the two papers overlap. Written by 7 international experts on the Turkmen and their carpets, "Turkmen: Tribal Carpets and Traditions" is the most comprehensive publication on the subject. Bags for storing dry goods were hung in tents and packed on animals during seasonal migrations.
