Hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 13cm, 131pp. Not signed as such but with an interesting previous owner's inscription. Signed from The Sanatorium, Liguanea (This became the National Chest Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica) by, one presumes, a doctor, with a later note stating Morriston Davies's works were his 'bible' and that he was asking the author for an updated editions (refused as the author was, by then, too old). A Second World War handbook to chest injuries caused through war, with chapters such as "Penetrating and Open Chest Wounds" and "Infected Haemothorax", and with a few illustrations within the text. Condition: The book is in good condition, but with some old worming to the rear joint. The dustwrapper has significant loss to the spine but this is now within a protective sleeve. A good reference copy.
