Contact seller5-star sellerPamphlet. 4p., 8.5x11 inch brochure, unevenly toned. Reprinted from the June 1966 issue of "On Target." Receipt date of 1968 penciled at lower right, "Right Wing" penciled at upper left. Predicts a Johnson/Fortas Democratic presidential ticket and Romney/Javits for the Republicans. "Who do we predict will win? The communists. No… matter which pair are elected, the communists will win and the patriotic Americans will lose." Outlines the alleged Communist connections of each candidate. DePugh's Minutemen organization, which published "On Target," was a far-right armed group seen by some as a predecessor to the wider militia movement. In 1968, DePugh was indicted for conspiracy to commit bank robbery and for violation of federal firearms laws. After about two years underground he was captured in New Mexico.

Contact seller5-star sellerFirst Edition. Two scarce pamphlets from the Minutemen, the anti-Communist, self-styled guerrilla organization founded by Robert DePugh in 1961. Published ca. 1963, "The Minutemen": America's last line of defence against communism was issued as an introduction to the group, the necessity of its formation, its program, and how or…dinary Americans might join its patriotic armed resistance. Stapled, illustrated wrappers, 20 p., one black & white photo showing corpses - apparently of communism. Five pages with underlining or other marginalia, most of it scant; else Fine. In 1966, DePugh self-published Blueprint for Victory, a detailed manual on the Communist threat and the Minutemen's multi-pronged strategy on combating it. It also introduced the reader to the group's new political party, the Patriotic Party, which largely provided cover for the group's clandestine activities. The book was circulated underground, primarily to Minutemen chapters or to those who wrote for more information, and it contained a form letter on Patriotic Party letterhead and questionnaire affixed inside the rear wrapper for those wishing to apply for membership. Although three editions were published between 1966-70, the book remains as elusive as some of its members. DePugh himself was forced to go underground in 1968, although he was captured in 1969, and sentenced to three years in jail. Stapled, blue wrappers, 106 p. Letter and questionnaire laid in in rear. Some toning to wrapper edges, else a Near Fine copy.
