This prepublication proof, which was sent to a famous biologist (who shall remain unidentified here), has two post-it notes written by the author: on p. 7, above the sound link ("In the finished edition, sound link icons will take readers to a webpage of sounds") and on p. 61, which has a photo on which the text is hard to read ("Only readable with a Dick Tracy secret code book! We'll fix it"). While this proof has 75 p., the only copy in WorldCat (owned by the Whatcom County Library System in Washington State) has 82 p., with approximately the same dimensions (22 x 29 cm.). No publication date is indicated in the proof; the WorldCat copy was published in 2017. WorldCat summary: "A mixture of poetry, vignettes, journal entries, and photographs capture the author's experiences in Pacific Northwest forests." Scarce volume with interesting provenance. Oversize [otob: 54r].
