The edges and corners are in excellent shape. The lettering on the spine is very bright. The page edges look very good. The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The white inside covers and end papers are perfectly clean. That appears to be the case for all of the pages. I'm scrolling through without finding any instances of soiling. I'm also not finding any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind (NOT ex-library). And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. From the Preface: 'The present bibliography has been designed to provide both the expert and novice with a representative sampling of both monographic and periodical literature on African archaeology, including exhibition catalogs. Emphasis has been placed upon types of materials providing both data on the excavation results from specific sites as well as regional syntheses and discussions on the development of the discipline as available. For the purposes of this volume, no limitation was set as to language of publication.
