Light edge wear. Ink stamp on title page. Signed by author. The earliest pioneers in Norfolk County settled on Long Point, a prominent sand spit stretching far out into Lake Erie. The earliest mention of Long Point as a desirable settlement comes from John Graves Simcoe, first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. As quoted on the title page, he called Long Point "the favorite object of all descriptions of people." This book contains biographies of those settlers, along with the children of UELs and the Norfolk Militia. Indexed.
