Melling'in hizmetleri mimari ile sinirli degildi. Hatice Sultan icin sarayin ic dekorasyonunu duzenlemis, mucevherler, iskemleler, yagliklar, mendiller, keseler tasarlamisti. Sanatci, Hatice Sultan icin "Melling Kalfa" idi. Melling kirik da olsa Turkce ogrenmisti ya, Arap harflerini bilmiyordu. Sultan ile kalfa, haberlesebilmek icin Turkceyi Latin harfleriyle yazma yontemini gelistirdiler. Jacques Perot ve Frederic Hitzel, Fransa'da ozel bir koleksiyonda olan belgeleri bir araya getirerek Antoine-Ignace Melling'in Istanbul'daki hayatini yeniden kurguladilar, Turkiye'de toplu olarak ilk defa yayimlanan Hatice Sultan-Melling mektuplarini da Robert Anhegger irdeledi.
