Bound in brown cloth with a camel on the front cover, gilt still bright, top edges gilt, binding and hinges tight. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper [appears to be] "To T. W. Budge / With very kind regards from / Major Jennings". Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge [1857-1934] was a well known Egyptologist, Orientalist and Philologist, with one of his studies being the Ge'ez language of Ethiopia. Covers show bumped corners, interior shows foxing throughout.
