Human laws have their ultimate root in the very nature of things. This basis is ascertained by human reason. We call it natural law. All other laws for men's behavior to one another must accord with this natural law, must not violate its principles. This book provides an admirable background for this study in the first part, which deals with the history of the idea of natural law. The author then proceeds to discuss the philosophy and content of the natural law. Minor rubbing along edges of wrappers. Slight offsetting on endpapers. Wraps in overall good, binding and interior in good+ to very good condition.
