18.0 x 12.5 cm. On the back the rubberstamp of photographer Ronald Sweering. A small crease. In Provo atmosphere, Bart Huges (1934-2004), a medical doctor in training, drilled a hole in the top of his head with a dental drill on January 6, 1965, because he was convinced that this would expand his consciousness. This photo shows…Huges in a dark costume; laughing, he is apparently arguing. With newspaper clipping of January 23, 1965, an article by A.E. Bayer: 'Barry Huges wants to expand his consciousness. On to the Third Eye' using this photo, with the caption again 'Barry Huges', confusing Bart with a well-known football player. Huges' name is correct in the text.
