Roosevelt, the cow boy president of America who set up the National Park system, talking about his time setting up a ranch in Dakota and the adventures he had there, from difficulties from wild animals, the struggles of winter, raising cattle, fending off intruders be they cowboys or indigenous people. He also speaks of how he was briefly a deputy sheriff and tracked down horse thieves, and hunting various game from elk to bear. Roosevelt was very sickly as a child, suffering from asthma and other occasional illnesses, and as a result his father pushed him to take up boxing and running, to build up his stamina and fend off other children. This was signed while Roosevelt was President of the New York City Board of Police Commissioners, shortly before being made Governor of New York. A very scarce title signed. Signed by Author(s).
