A very good copy for its age of this delightfully illustrated retelling of the Robin Hood story by Rose Yeatman Woolf, undated but probably published 1919. No Jacket. Cover: quarter cloth over colour, pictorial, paper covered boards with Howard Davie colour illustration of Robin saluting King Richard 1 and beige and red lettering to front, black lettering to green cloth spine and Raphael Tuck logo in brown on a cream rear board; in remarkably good condition for a 90 year old children's book; some rubbing and bumping to all edges but surprisingly clean and bright. Internally: very clean and well bound in general although frontispiece and one plate are loose; small very discreet bookplate from previous owner to front paste down; gift inscription dated 1928 to front free end paper; perhaps slightest darkening to page edges but generally in remarkably good condition. Illustrated throughout by Howard Davie, colour frontispiece and 7 other colour plates, black and white line drawings throughout. 106 pp. & 6 pages of advertising material at rear.
