Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. "AFRICAN ART IN THE CYCLE OF LIFE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN ART 1987 LARGE DJ NEAR FINE. I have been procrastinating with the listing of a series of scarce and unique books about African Art, mainly because I cannot put them down once, I start looking at them. I am sure many of you will feel the same way. For your consideration then, I am pleased to offer: "African Art in the Cycle of Life," by Roy Sieber and Roslyn Adele Walker, and signed on the title page by Mr. Sieber. This large hard cover book (11 ¾ x 11 ¾ inches, 156 pages) was "published in conjunction with an inaugural exhibition"of the same name "organized by the National Museum of African Art, September 28, 1987 March 20, 1988." The book is copyright 1987 by the Smithsonian Institution. The book is bound in dark gray cloth hard covers with silver gilt titles on cover and spine; it is protected by a glossy, pictorial dust jacket, itself encased in a Brodart book jacket cover. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket has some small chips and wrinkles, mainly along the top edge but this is all now encased in the Brodart book jacket cover. The hard covers are clean and bright and the titles likewise. Inside, the only mark I found was the Author's signature on the title page; the interior pages and plates are clean, bright and super attractive. The hinges are fully intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.".
