Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Ray Evans Jr. (illustrator). 1st Edition. Booklet of 32 pages stapled into printed card wrappers. The Unit Study Books was an extensive series of educational books covering science, social science, and folk-fairy tales. These latter books re-told traditional tales from all over the world, adapted by Kerr and Ross, with each title containing four short tales. What makes these little booklets particularly appealing is the extraordinary quality of the illustrations. This title is beautifully illustrated with wonderful, humorous drawings by Ray Evans Jr., son of the popular Ohio cartoonist Ray O. Evans. A lovely little thing, and for such an ephemeral item from 1939 it is in remarkable condition. A very good copy indeed with no noticeable defects.
