A Depression-era economic history of the United States filled with useful Isotype charts by Rudolf Modley, told in three parts: The Establishment of Capitalism, The Triumphs of Capitalism, and Capitalism in Crisis. Rudolf Modley, who volunteered in the earliest days of Otto Neurath's Museum of Society and Economy. After years of service, Modley eventually moved to the USA to serve as Neurath's proxy at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. In this book Modley does an effective job of Americanizing Neurat's visual language - Isotype. Dust jacket is present but has tears and big pieces missing.
