Per Wikipedia, Gladys Malvern (1897 -1962) Was An American Vaudeville And Broadway Actress, Radio Script Writer, And Writer. As A Child Actress, She Appeared In The 1908 Broadway Production Of The Man Who Stood Still. Gladys Often Collaborated On Stage With Her Younger Sister Corinne Malvern, Who Also Illustrated Her Books. By 1910, The Two Malvern Sisters Were Working Regularly In Traveling Vaudeville Productions, As Well As In The Burgeoning New York Movie Industry; Gladys As An Ingenue And Corinne As "Fairies, Babies, Witches, And Other Funny Little People. Gladys Malvern Never Returned To The Stage, But She Would Go On To Write More Than 40 Successful Historical Novels, Many Of Them Illustrated By Her Sister Corinne, Who Died In 1956.
