La Vie du Vicomte de Turenne, tome 1, Edition de 1689 Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne (1611-16…75) « est considéré, avec Condé, comme le général français le plus important de son temps et, en France, comme le général le plus important avant et après Napoléon. C'était un général méthodique et prudent, un excellent tacticien qui veillait également méticuleusement au ravitaillement et au déploiement de ses troupes » . Ce livre est attribué à COURTILZ DE SANDRAS qui fut Capitaine au régiment de Champagne. Il quitta le service en 1688 et se rendit en Hollande pour y faire imprimer des ouvrages, qui pour la plupart sont des romans historiques ou des pamphlets. Il rentra en France en 1702 et fut enfermé à la Bastille pour des publications scandaleuses et y resta 9 ans. D'après Quérard, Du Buisson est le pseudonyme de Sandras de Courtilz, mais A. Waddington "déclare au contraire que le capitaine Du Buisson a réellement existé et que Sandras de Courtilz s'est borné à mettre une préface en tête de l'édition de 1688" [Bourgeois et André, 1908]. L' Edition Originale dâte de 1685. Illustration en frontispice par un portrait d' Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne. Une des premières éditions publié par Jean de Clou en 1689, reliure artisanale plein cuir d' époque en assez bon état avec un dos à 4 nefs orné de caissons et d' une pièce de titre dorée à l' or fin , format 15x9x3 cm, 452 pages.
