First and only edition of a screed against small-pox vaccination, and the medical profession more generally. Christian Charles Schieferdecker was a homeopath with an interest in hydrotherapy. Nittinger (1807-1874) was a German physician with an axe to grind against vaccination. This copy deaccessioned from the Library Company of Philadelphia, with their bookplate on the front pastedown.
