Simply a great book testifying to this author's legendary accomplishments, many full page B&W and Color portraits, and numerous illustrations of his music scores. Spine is as new.

This helps to capture the sense of the volume better than a literal translation of the German title, as much of the art was sponsored by one or another totalitarian state; avant-garde is not what springs to the mind when thinking of Albert Speer. This particular volume is for the year 1937, so covering the Spanish Civil War and the approach to a general war.
