Intrigued and challenged by her attitude, he quietly begins to dig into her background. He uncovers a mysterious past involving a state senator, a police record, a love affair. None of which is she willing to discuss. Once Tory begins receiving death threats to stay away from the stadium job, she realizes she'll have to work with Alvarez to pull the various threads together and possibly save her own life. Suspense builds at the construction site where death awaits and important answers go undetected.
